Dear Nursery School Family,
Spring in January? Sunny skies and warm temperature have given us the unique opportunity to enjoy our beautiful playground without a blustery wind, or a snowflake in sight!! Grateful Hearts is the theme for this month, as express our fondness and appreciation for those we love the most!
Children and Programs
Winter Birds, Penguin Pals, Sleeping Bears and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles are the newest themes for our friends in the “Two-by-Two”, 2 1/2’s and 3’ classrooms. Exploring the Desert and Rain Forest terrain and environment have been introduced in the 4’s, as Bridges to Learning continues its journey through North America. Enrichment classes include an appreciation for Leo Lionni Classics, and the adventures of Magical Medieval Times (watch out for the fire breathing dragon!!)
Family and Friends
As we celebrate Valentine’s Day with our classmates in the next week, we also look forward to welcoming senior guests for a Valentine’s “Tea for Two” Dance on February 9th. We’ve made Valentines and table favors for our friends, and the delicious menu will include tea sandwiches, scones, cookies, and Sweetheart’s Punch. Musical selections performed by our children, and an “old favorites sing-a-long” will be a part of the entertainment, as it promises to be a memorable day for everyone.
“Pancakes and Playmates”, our annual family event will take place on Saturday, February 4th in Fellowship Hall. Get your forks ready as we enjoy the best pancakes and welcome special guest characters for perfect photo opportunities!
Winter Recess is scheduled from Monday, February 13th - Monday, February 20th. “Two-by-Two”, Nursery School, Extended Day, and Enrichment Programs all resume on Tuesday, February 21st.
