Rev. Leslie Dobbs-Allsopp
Bridge Pastor Leslie Dobbs-Allsopp was raised in Louisville KY, and attended Duke University and Princeton Theological Seminary (PTS). She was ordained by the Presbytery of Baltimore, and has served institutions,
congregations, and presbyteries in MD, NY, NJ, PA, and now CT. She and her family live in Princeton NJ, adjacent to the PTS campus, where her husband Chip serves as Professor of Old Testament and James Lenox Librarian.
Pastor Leslie has had amazing opportunities in ministry: she has pastored congregations large and small, in urban, rural and suburban communities. She has served as transitional leader with two presbyteries in NJ, and she has coordinated a series of youth ministry Lily grant initiatives for PTS.
She has served as a solo pastor, associate pastor, and head of staff. Her calling took a turn in 2008 when she began serving in interim/transitional roles with congregations and presbyteries. She loves the energy of “in between times”, and relishes helping congregations to move forward.
She most recently served as pastor and head of staff for the Pres Church in Morristown NJ. Leslie and Chip have two adult sons, one of whom is currently at home and the other in DC. She is a basketball fan (Go Duke!), a Liverpool fan in a family of Arsenal supporters, a gardener, and an avid needlework/seamstress/knitter. She loves to walk and explore new places on foot. Leslie has walked parts of the Camino de Santiago, and hopes to make the entire trek one day. Though the schedule has yet to be determined, Pastor Leslie will spend part of the week in Greenwich and part of the week
in Princeton.
