Rev. Andre Castillo
Acting Sr. Pastor
Rev. Andre Castillo has an abiding passion for seeing disciples of all ages thrive in their relationships with Christ and the Church. A Southern California native, Andre grew up in faith and ministry leadership at Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church in San Diego, CA. He studied music at the University of California in Irvine and completed his Master of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena. He has served in a variety of roles in church leadership including Director of Operations, Community Life Pastor, Worship Leader, and Assistant Director of Youth Music and Drama, and has served congregations from Los Angeles to Chicago.
As a member of the Presbytery of Southern New England, Andre serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees and President of the Corporation. Andre is also a certified transitional pastor with the PC(USA). His ecumenical work has included being a fellow with the Pastoral Innovation Network of New England, a hospital chaplain at the Methodist Hospital of Southern California, and chaplain to the Arcadia Fire Department. His published works include numerous articles in The Greenwich Sentinel, articles in Resonance: A Theological Journal, and ghost authorship of a chapter in Letters to a Birmingham Jail: A Response to the Words and Dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in addition to many hymn lyrics and Christmas pageants.
Andre is thrilled to be in his sixth year of service with the First Presbyterian Church family, and feels incredibly blessed to be partnering with a leadership team and congregation that is so passionately committed to intergenerational mission and ministry. In his free time, Andre loves carpentry, singing, reading, running, and joining pickup games of just about any sport. Andre lives in Cos Cob with his six-year-old daughter, Noelle.
Jane comes to FPCG with diverse international finance, accounting and bookkeeping experience including, most recently, over 15 years of corporate accounting experience within the Control and Financial Reporting area of a multinational consumer products corporation located at their Headquarters near White Plains, NY.
Originally from Northern England, Jane began her career in the British banking industry, based in several locations around the UK. Prior to settling permanently in the US, she spent a number of years in Singapore, where she was treasurer for a local women’s charitable association.
Before making the move over to corporate accounting in the US, Jane also gained a wealth of bookkeeping and accounting experience catering to smaller businesses within various industries.
Jane holds a BS in Accounting and is also a Certified Accounting Technician (FMAAT). In her spare time Jane loves to crochet and travel and currently resides with her husband in Bedford, NY.
For the past seven years Erin has been working as the VP of Global Credit Control for a Norwegian Media Group. Prior to that, she worked for ten years as an Accounting Manager and HR Administrator. She is a proven leader with experience in team building, strategic plan implementation, client retention, account reconciliation, AR/AP, and HR.
Erin holds a B.A. in International Relations and is currently pursuing the completion of her MBA. She is an amateur photographer and is an avid world traveler.
Lorna has several years of experience as a Communications Specialist for the United Nations’ Children Fund. Her background also includes administration, communications, and volunteering work in various church settings. Lorna holds a B.A. in Journalism & Creative Writing and an M.A. in Media Studies. She enjoys movies, baking, dancing, and spending time with her husband Jim, her children Cara and Maeve, and her new puppy, Keeper.
Randy is a native of the Philippines. He joined the FPCG staff in 1994 and has since been a weekend sexton. He was a BS undergraduate in Computer Engineering before migrating to the U.S. He studied Computer Network Administration at the Westchester Business Institute and graduated magna cum laude in 2003. Randy managed a big jewelry distribution business in Stamford for 11 years prior to joining the staff full time in October 2016. Randy and his family live in Norwalk.
Michele D. Olsen
Director of Nursery School
Michele Olsen joined the First Presby community as Assistant Director 2014. She had moved to Greenwich, CT after spending several years in Washington, D.C. where she served as the assistant to the Head of School of the NCRC Preschool in the Cleveland Park area. Prior to that position, Michele spent 13 years teaching in New York City, Boston, and Chicago. Earlier in her career, she worked in human resources, fundraising, and advertising. Michele holds an M.S. Ed. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Bank Street College and a B.A. in Business Management from Gettysburg College. She currently resides in Darien, CT.
