Our Music Ministry
Music is essential to our worship at First Pres. Our music program caters a warm and inviting atmosphere for all ages and musical mastery. Lead by the esteemed Dr. Caroline Worra, our Music Ministry is vibrant and enriching, encompassing a wide range of genres, styles, and instruments. Our 10 AM Sunday worship features hymns, classic anthems, and rousing spirituals from our Chancel Choir, Junior Choirs, Bell Choir, and instrumentalists. Our 5 PM Sunday Chapel offers contemporary sounds for worship and reflection.
All choirs rehearse weekly. We also send out practice recordings, so if you can’t make it to our Wednesday Night Live rehearsals, you can still practice at home and join us whenever you can. All are welcome!

Music Notes
All are welcome to make music at FPCG each week. Even if you cannot rehearse on Wednesdays, a practice audio recording for adults (emailed) or kids video (in Parent Post) will be sent to you, and you can rehearse with us on Sunday mornings before the service! If you are not receiving these emails or Parent Post but would like to, please let me know!
This Sunday, April 14th
9:00 AM – Chancel Choir rehearsal for “Sicut Cervus” and “Amen” (sanctuary)
9:30 AM – Singers, Ringers, and Steeple Band rehearsal for “If I were a Butterfly” (we will begin in the Sanctuary and then continue rehearsing in Fellowship Hall – join in when you arrive – ALL FAMILY MEMBERS INVITED to sing and play!)
9:55 AM – Bell ringers of all ages meet in the front row of the sanctuary
10:00 AM – ring the opening 10 bells and then sing/ring/play the all-group introit “If I were a Butterfly”

Join us for the best night of the week - including music rehearsals, children’s programming, and ALL-AGE fellowship - every Wednesday night between 4:30-8:45 PM! Don’t miss our famous DINNER-FOR-ALL in Fellowship Hall from 6:00-7:15.
SAVE THE DATE
Sunday, April 28th during the 10:00 AM service - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! Rehearsals for this ALL-CHURCH musical are on Wednesdays, Sunday mornings during Sunday School, and a dress rehearsal on Saturday, April 27th from 10:00 to noon – lunch included. All are invited to participate!

The FPCG Singers and Ringers
Each Sunday, singers, ringers, and players of ALL ages are welcome to ring the 10 opening bells and sing and play the introit! All of our groups combine for this joyful start to our services! We rehearse from 9:30 to 9:55 on Sunday mornings, beginning in the sanctuary and moving to Fellowship Hall. Join us when you arrive or just meet us in the front row at 9:55!
Chancel Choir
Grades 9–Adult
Singers who enjoy classical anthems. We rehearse during Wednesday Night Live at 7:30 PM and on Sundays at 9:00 AM in preparation for the 10 AM service.
Jubilate Choir
Grades Pre-K – Grade 2
Our youngest music lovers learn songs to share during worship and practice ringing the opening bell.
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:00 PM
Clarion Ringers
Grades 6-Adult
All musicians improve their music reading skills while playing beautiful music to present in church monthly.
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 5:00 - 6:15 PM
Summit Sounds
Grades 6-12
Singers and instrumentalists blend all styles of music, from classical to Christian contemporary and popular.
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 6:30 - 7:00 PM
