Week of Faithful ServiceFPCG has a rich tradition of supporting both the local community and global initiatives to help our neighbors. This year’s "Weekend of Faithful Service" is on April 24-26. YOUR PARTICIPATION IS NEEDED.
Here are three ideas:
1. Today through April 20 …. Help the homeless by purchasing much-needed personal items from Amazon. We have created a wish-list on Amazon (including underwear, socks, blankets, sheets, personal care products, etc.). Your Amazon order will be delivered directly to the church, packed by volunteers, and taken directly to both Pacific House and Midnight Run.
How many backpacks of goodies can we assemble?
Here’s the link. Order today.
2. Beginning on April 20 through Sunday, April 26…Bring canned and food items directly to the church for sharing with Neighbor to Neighbor. Unopened and unexpired food donations only! Most needed items: PB&J, Pasta, Pasta sauce, Rice bags, canned chicken/tuna, canned fruit, coffee/tea. Why not just fill up one grocery bag and leave it at the church, at your convenience, or bring it on Sunday? How many grocery bags can we contribute? Check your cupboard and join us.
3. On Saturday, April 25 …. Join us for an outing to the Westchester Children’s Museum in Rye, NY from 11am-2 pm and help provide transportation for the refugees to and from the Museum. Lunch will be provided. We need at least 6 drivers. Email Lee Ganshaw at ganshaw@me.com to volunteer.
